Hourly Equipment Booking — Terms of Service
Archived copy — September 8, 2026. This dated copy is kept unchanged for bookings that reference it; the current version is at alaskasaplow.com/terms-hourly.
These terms apply to hourly loader and truck bookings made online, whether the property is residential or commercial, and are part of the Alaska Shear & Plow Terms of Service at alaskasaplow.com/terms.
Booking and payment. Hourly service is booked and paid in advance. The booking is a two-hour minimum, billed portal to portal from our yard. Time beyond the booked hours is billed at the same hourly rate and charged to the payment method on file or invoiced. Bookings cancelled before dispatch are refunded in full; once equipment has left the yard, the two-hour minimum is earned.
Scheduling. Service is performed when equipment is available after contracted routes are complete, normally the same day or the following day. No arrival time is promised.
Scope. Plowing, stacking, or relocating snow within the area identified at booking. Sanding, de-icing, off-site hauling, sidewalks, entries, and hand work are not included unless separately booked. Snow is stacked at the edges of the plowed area as space allows.
Site. The Client must mark hidden objects and move vehicles before service. The Contractor is not liable for damage to unmarked or snow-covered objects, for gravel displacement, surface marking, or damage to heaved or uneven surfaces, or for landscaping along the edges of the plowed area. Bare surface is not guaranteed on gravel or asphalt.
RELEASE — PLEASE READ. ALASKA SHEAR & PLOW PLOWS SNOW. IT DOES NOT PROVIDE OR PROMISE A SAFE OR SLIP-FREE SURFACE, AND THE CLIENT REMAINS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDITION OF THE PROPERTY BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER SERVICE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY ALASKA LAW, THE CLIENT RELEASES ALASKA SHEAR & PLOW AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUBCONTRACTORS FROM ALL CLAIMS FOR BODILY INJURY, DEATH, AND PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM SNOWY, ICY, OR SLIPPERY CONDITIONS, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM ITS ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE.
THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS. IF THE PROPERTY IS USED FOR BUSINESS, IS A RENTAL, OR IS OPEN TO TENANTS, CUSTOMERS, OR THE PUBLIC, THE CLIENT SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS ALASKA SHEAR & PLOW FROM CLAIMS BY THIRD PARTIES FOR INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM SNOW OR ICE CONDITIONS AT THE PROPERTY OR THE SERVICES, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT CAUSED BY THE SOLE NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OF ALASKA SHEAR & PLOW. THE CONTRACTOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE BOOKING, AND IT IS NOT LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. NEITHER THE RELEASE NOR THE INDEMNITY APPLIES TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT. GOVERNED BY ALASKA LAW; VENUE KENAI.
